If you’ve ever been interested in Indian music, whether it’s devotional, classical, folk, Bollywood or any of the other many forms of music that come from the Indian subcontinent, this workshop is for you!

One thing I’ve learned over many years of study and practice of Indian music is that it is endless. There are so many different forms and styles of music in India and from an outside perspective, they can kind of all blend together. But most of them come from long and deep traditions and I can say from experience that once you get to start to notice the nuances and differentiating characteristics of different styles, it becomes so much more enjoyable to experience as a listener and/or practitioner.

This workshop will be a mix of theory and practice so that you can start to wrap your head around what’s going on in this music but you will also get to feel it in your own heart and body by using your voice to explore this sound! No experience necessary and everyone is welcome.
